Homemade Peanut Butter Coffee Brewing Tips:

What kind of peanut butter should you use?

Peanut butter comes in many forms, starting with the classic chunky or smooth debate. Even if you’re usually a chunky peanut butter fan, we recommend starting with smooth for your drink. Chunks are less delightful in your coffee mug than they are in your sandwich.

Beyond that, you’ll probably want to use a brand you would eat regularly. You will be able to taste it in your coffee, so you don’t want a brand you wouldn’t eat on bread.

If you’re more hands-on, you can also try making your own peanut butter! All you need is a food processor, peanuts, and oil.

What about Nutella coffee?

If you’re a fan of Nutella (and most of us are), you may want to substitute it for peanut butter. And to that, we say go for it! Chocolate and hazelnut both taste quite good with coffee. Just make sure you whisk your drink thoroughly to avoid unfortunate clumps.

And should you add chocolate?

Who says no to chocolate? You can turn your peanut butter coffee into a peanut butter mocha by adding a little chocolate syrup. This is a decadent touch — but one that you’ll probably love.
