A London Fog Latte is a mixture of Earl Grey tea, steamed milk, and vanilla syrup. The name comes from the drink’s appearance -- murky like a dense London fog -- and the Brits’ famous love of tea! Here's how to make a delicious homemade version.
Brew a strong cup of Earl Grey tea. Let it steep for 3 minutes, or follow the instructions on your tea container. Then remove the tea bag or filter out the loose leaf tea.
Steam your milk. If you don’t have a steamer, you can heat the milk on the stove or in the microwave. Then whisk it until you get a good amount of foam.
Pour the milk into the mug on top of the tea. Stir in the vanilla extract and honey. Then add a spoonful of milk foam to the top.
Garnish your drink with a little dried lavender (optional) and enjoy!
